Apple Podcasts Transcripts
With the release of iOS 17.4, the Apple Podcasts app now offers transcripts for podcasts. This new feature allows listeners to read the full text of an episode, search for specific words or phrases, and easily navigate to different parts of the episode. As an episode plays, each word is highlighted, similar to how Apple Music displays song lyrics.
Apple automatically generates transcripts for new episodes after they are published. Initially, transcripts are available for podcasts in English, French, German, and Spanish. Over time, Apple will add transcripts for older episodes in a podcast’s catalog.
SharePlay for HomePod
iOS 17.4 introduces an expanded SharePlay feature for HomePod speakers. With this feature, family and friends can now control the music playing on your HomePod with your permission.
